CMBecker makes some of the the best draft equipment. They are the only plastic ball lock disconnects I sell because they are the most durable and there's nothing worse than having draft equipment failures in the middle of a busy event. These are designed and assembled in the US and manufactured in Germany. I have ones from 5 years ago still in my draft systems working as well as ever. The Chinese knockoffs can be found for half the price, but when one fails you'll spew hundreds of dollars of product, so why bother? I
This is a barbed, liquid disconnect with a 1/4" barb. Barbs are great for installations where you won't be changing them much. If you're going to be swapping them back and forth with other styles of disconnects (for instance if the line will sometimes be serving beer from a Sankey Keg) I recommend a flared disconnect.
Ideally you'll want to use a 3/16"/5MM ID line (like our EVABarrier Tubing) and an Oetiker clamp. This will give you a rock solid permanent connection. You could use a 1/4" ID line as well if needed though. If you have a tough time getting the barb into your liquid tubing, try dipping it in boiling water until it is more pliable.
