This is a light gray, FDA food grade, silicone O-ring designed for your ball lock keg's dip tubes. Dip tube leaks are one of the hardest to spot, so using high quality o-rings makes a big difference. Both the gas and liquid dip tubes use this same size of o-ring. There's no reason to color code them since you cannot really see them when the keg is reassembled, and we make them in gray so you don't mistake them with the inferior Buna N o-rings your keg came with.
I only sell silicone O-rings because they are all I use. They withstand a lot more abuse than the Buna N O-rings most kegs have, and there's nothing worse than your keg springing a leak in the middle of a shift because a gasket failed. The heat of a keg washer will degrade Buna N rapidly, but silicone gaskets can withstand much higher temperatures.
